Berkman's Gold Cedar is a compact evergreen shrub, the classic Canadian privacy evergreen, dense from top to bottom. Berkman's Gold Cedar carries yellow foliage through the season and performs best in full sun with moderate watering once established. This compact evergreen matures to roughly 4.5-11 feet tall and 1.5-4 feet wide. It is ideal for foundation beds and formal plantings where evergreen structure matters, offering year-round colour and tidy, dependable form. Easy to establish and simple to maintain, Berkman's Gold Cedar rewards basic care with a reliable display season after season. A layer of mulch helps hold moisture and keeps roots cool in summer.
