Berried Treasure Box Huckleberry is a hardy fruiting shrub, a compact native relative of the blueberry with excellent fall colour. Berried Treasure Box Huckleberry flowers in spring in shades of pink, and performs best in full sun to part shade with moderate watering once established. This shrub matures to roughly 2-4 feet tall and 2-4 feet wide. It is ideal planted in groups, which improves pollination and increases yield, offering ornamental appeal and a usable harvest. Well suited to the Canadian climate in zones 3-7, it establishes readily and improves with age. A layer of mulch helps hold moisture and keeps roots cool in summer.
