Black Pearl Redbud is a deciduous shade tree known for its bare branches lined with rosy pink flowers, then heart-shaped leaves. Black Pearl Redbud flowers in spring in shades of black, and performs best in full sun with moderate watering once established. This tree matures to roughly 15-25 feet tall and 15-25 feet wide. It is ideal for front yards, boulevards, and open lawns where summer shade is wanted, offering long-term shade and strong seasonal colour. Well suited to the Canadian climate in zones 4-9, it establishes readily and improves with age. A layer of mulch helps hold moisture and keeps roots cool in summer.

🪴 Planting Instructions: Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and no deeper, keeping the top of the root ball level with the surrounding soil. Loosen circling roots before planting, backfill with native soil amended with compost, then water thoroughly to settle. Space plants about 15-25 feet apart and keep well watered through the first full season while roots establish. Plant in full sun.
