Blue Sapphire Chinese Wisteria is a hardy climbing vine known for its cascading fragrant flower chains on a powerful woody vine. Blue Sapphire Chinese Wisteria flowers in late spring in shades of blue, and performs best in full sun with moderate watering once established. This vine matures to roughly 20-30 feet tall and 6-10 feet wide. It is ideal for trellises and arbours, turning bare vertical space into a feature, offering vertical interest and fast seasonal cover. Well suited to the Canadian climate in zones 4-9, it establishes readily and improves with age. A layer of mulch helps hold moisture and keeps roots cool in summer.
