Frontier Elm is a deciduous shade tree, an upright, vase-shaped shade tree with excellent street tolerance. Frontier Elm flowers in spring in shades of varies, and performs best in full sun with moderate watering once established. This tree matures to roughly 40-60 feet tall and 30-45 feet wide. It is ideal for front yards, boulevards, and open lawns where summer shade is wanted, offering long-term shade and strong seasonal colour. 🪴 Planting Instructions: Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and no deeper, keeping the top of the root ball level with the surrounding soil. Loosen circling roots before planting, backfill with native soil amended with compost, then water thoroughly to settle. Space plants about 30-45 feet apart and keep well watered through the first full season while roots establish. Plant in full sun.
