German Wine Rhubarb is a hardy perennial, the classic edible perennial for pies and preserves. German Wine Rhubarb flowers in early summer in shades of cream, and performs best in full sun with moderate watering once established. This perennial matures to roughly 2-3 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide. It is ideal for mixed beds, butterfly gardens, and filling space between shrubs, offering dependable colour that returns every year. Easy to establish and simple to maintain, German Wine Rhubarb rewards basic care with a reliable display season after season. A layer of mulch helps hold moisture and keeps roots cool in summer.
