Hummelo Alpine Betony is a low-growing groundcover known for its irresistibly soft, felted silver leaves. Hummelo Alpine Betony flowers in early summer in shades of purple, and performs best in part sun to part shade with low watering once established. This groundcover matures to roughly 10-18 inches tall and 1.5-2.5 feet wide. It is ideal for rock gardens, path edges, and the spaces between stepping stones, offering low-maintenance cover and weed suppression. Hardy to zones 4-9 and simple to care for, it settles in quickly and performs year after year. It tolerates dry spells well once its roots are down.
