Kent Elderberry is a hardy fruiting shrub known for its lacy flower heads followed by heavy clusters of dark berries. Kent Elderberry flowers in early summer in shades of white, and performs best in full sun with moderate watering once established. This shrub matures to roughly 6-10 feet tall and 6-10 feet wide. It is ideal for edible landscapes, backyard fruit gardens, and mixed borders, offering ornamental appeal and a usable harvest. Easy to establish and straightforward to maintain, Kent Elderberry rewards basic care with a reliable display season after season. 🪴 Planting Instructions: Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and no deeper, keeping the top of the root ball level with the surrounding soil. Loosen circling roots before planting, backfill with native soil amended with compost, then water thoroughly to settle. Space plants about 6-10 feet apart and keep well watered through the first full season while roots establish. Plant in full sun.

Mulch to conserve moisture and moderate soil temperature, and feed with a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring.
