Lilac Fairy Barrenwort is a low-growing groundcover known for its delicate spurred flowers over heart-shaped leaves, tough in dry shade. Lilac Fairy Barrenwort flowers in spring in shades of lavender, and performs best in part shade with low watering once established. This groundcover matures to roughly 10-14 inches tall and 1-2 feet wide. It is ideal for filling gaps between larger plants and suppressing weeds, offering low-maintenance cover and weed suppression. Well suited to the Canadian climate in zones 4-8, it establishes readily and improves with age. It tolerates dry spells well once its roots are down.
