Nodding Onion is a hardy flowering perennial known for its perfect flower globes floating above the border. Nodding Onion flowers in late spring to early summer in shades of purple, and performs best in full sun with low watering once established. This perennial matures to roughly 1-4 feet tall and 10-18 inches wide. It is ideal planted in groups for a strong seasonal display, offering height, colour, and a strong seasonal display. Well suited to the Canadian climate in zones 3-9, it establishes readily and improves with age. It tolerates dry spells well once its roots are down.
