Plantain-leaved Sedge is an ornamental grass known for its fine-textured evergreen tufts that suit sun or shade. Plantain-leaved Sedge flowers in late summer to fall in shades of tan, and performs best in full sun to part shade with low watering once established. This grass matures to roughly 1-2 feet tall and 1-2 feet wide. It is ideal massed along a driveway or repeated through a bed for rhythm, offering movement, texture, and winter interest. Once established it needs little attention, making Plantain-leaved Sedge a dependable choice for Canadian gardens. It tolerates dry spells well once its roots are down.
