Red Dragon Corkscrew Hazel is a hardy fruiting shrub known for its catkins in late winter and edible nuts in autumn. Red Dragon Corkscrew Hazel flowers in spring in shades of red, and performs best in full sun with moderate watering once established. This shrub matures to roughly 8-15 feet tall and 8-15 feet wide. It is ideal planted in groups, which improves pollination and increases yield, offering ornamental appeal and a usable harvest. Space plants about 8-15 feet apart and keep well watered through the first full season while roots establish. Plant in full sun.
