Virginia Waterleaf is a low-growing groundcover known for its mottled native foliage forming a quick woodland groundcover. Virginia Waterleaf flowers in late spring in shades of white, and performs best in part shade with low watering once established. This groundcover matures to roughly 12-18 inches tall and 1.5-2 feet wide. It is ideal for edging beds, softening pathways, and holding soil on slopes, offering low-maintenance cover and weed suppression. Hardy to zones 3-8 and simple to care for, it settles in quickly and performs year after year. It tolerates dry spells well once its roots are down.
